YOUR ART CLASS GOES TRAWLING
 
Shrimp fishing usually requires a boat called a trawler that pulls nets to catch the shrimp. The nets are put in the water from long slanted bars and boards keep the nets open. When trawling for shrimp other sea creatures sometimes get caught. Efforts have been made to save sea turtles that sometimes get caught by installing a turtle excluder device. There are many regulations, zoning rules, and seasonal restrictions that shrimp fishermen must follow. Most shrimpers start in the early morning and go out for days at a time. There is a lot of hard work involved but Your Art Class is up to the challenge.
