YOUR ART CLASS RIDES A STREET CAR

New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, has the oldest continually operating street car line in the world. It is a unique method of public transportation using electrical lines above and a rail to run on. New Orleans also has a famous sandwich called a po'boy. When streetcar employees went on strike in 1929, the workers held signs that said "Help the Poor Boys." Supporters made sandwiches on French bread for the "Poor Boys" and the sandwiches were called po'boys. The beginning black and white drawing I did for the streetcar, looks like a loaf of bread. Take a ride on the streetcar line in the unique city.
