YOUR ART GLASS CLASS

In the first century BC man discovered the art of hand blowing glass to make bowls and glasses. Glass is made by heating sand at a very high temperature. Sand is made of silica, soda, ash, and lime. When it is heated into a liquid state it can then be formed in molds or hand blown through long tubes. Glass is technically defined as a hard and brittle transparent inorganic amorphous solid. Glass reflects light and lets light through at the same time. Your Art Class gets to make glass on paper.
