YOUR ART CLASS CELEBRATES THE DAY OF THE DEAD
The Day of the Dead celebration is a celebration to remember friends and family who have died and it is an opportunity to tell stories about them and to pray for them. The Day of the Dead has been celebrated in Mexico for hundreds of years, probably starting with the Aztec civilization. Currently, it is celebrated on November 1 and 2 in Mexico. Some decorate a sugar "calavera" skull. Your Art Class can decorate a Day of the Dead skull to remember a loved one who has passed away and celebrate their life.
