YOUR ART CLASS STAINS GLASS

Stained Glass has been around for over a thousand years. When hot molten glass has oxides and other additives added the glass turns certain colors. Pieces of colored glass are put together with lead or other materials to create a window or work of art. Stained glass windows were created for churches and places of worship for centuries because the light came in but distractions of the outside world were not seen. Usually the intensity of the color is only seen when the sun shines directly on it. Now stained-glass is an art form that Your Art Class can create on paper.
