Your Art Class Flutters in May

The Caligo Owl butterfly gets its name from the very large markings that looks like owl’s eyes on the wings. The Caligo Owl May butterfly is from Central and South America and Mexico. It can measure up to 5 inches or 15 cm. The eye markings are used as camouflage defense. The contrasting markings also help the large butterfly to defend itself. Where most butterflies like the nectar of flowers, the May butterfly likes fruit. Those with May birthdays and the Caligo Owl butterfly are strong, healthy, and can defend themselves.
