Your Art Class Plants a Watermelon Vine

Watermelon is one of the most delicious fruits! It is sweet and healthy, with nutrients vitamin A, B6, C, and lycopene, antioxides, amino acids, and potassium. There are over 1000 different varieties of watermelons and they are grown all over the world. If Your Art Class wants to plant a watermelon you need the ground to be at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit for 100 days.  Each seed grows a vine that produces 2 to 4 watermelons. Each vine can grow to be twenty feet long. So you need a lot of space along with fertilizer, and water too. I recently found that you can also eat the watermelon rind if you cook it. The vine and leaves are great compost material. Watermelons need space, in fact we all need space at some time.
