Your Art Class Has Instincts Like a Turtle

There are land turtles and sea turtles. All turtles are reptiles and lay their eggs on land. Turtles have the instinct to return to the same area to lay their eggs year after year. Once the eggs are laid, the hatchlings are left to fend for themselves. Many nests are protected and watched over by human volunteers to keep predators away. Once the baby sea turtles hit the water they have more predators but as they grow, their hard shell is like armor. Some sea turtles swim over 1000 miles to return to their same nesting site as where they were born. There are many different land turtles. Giant tortoises can live to be 200 years old! What turtle wisdom and instincts they must have.
