Your Art Class is Growing Shamrocks

Back in the 400’s Ireland was inhabited by ruthless Druid pirates. Patrick, who had been captured at age 14, escaped at age 20. He then returned to Ireland hopeful to help the Irish overcome the outrageous pagan pirates. Patrick’s strong character and his teachings are credited with turning the feared pagan pirates into Christians.  Patrick, who was declared a Saint, died on March 17. March is a celebration of Saint Patrick’s hope and Strength. Those of us born in March are strong and hopeful. Patrick used the shamrock to teach the Trinity and it became the symbol of St. Patrick’s Day.
